Elaine Aradillas is a writer/reporter at PEOPLE magazine in New York City. Before joining the magazine in 2007, she spent most of her 10-year career covering crime, courts and social services, as well as brief stints in features covering teens and popular culture. She graduated from The University of Texas and Columbia University.
Justin Bachman is deputy news director at Bloomberg Businessweek. Previously, he was a supervisory editor for the Associated Press in the Business News Dept. in New York for four years, and was a financial reporter in the AP's Atlanta bureau from 1998 through 2002. Bachman holds a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Texas at Arlington.
David Martin Davies is the news director for Texas Public Radio, a group of three radio stations that covers San Antonio and the Texas Hill Country area. His responsibilities include the production of “Texas Matters,” a weekly radio news program that airs on 14 radio stations in Texas. Davies also regularly produces feature and spot news reports for TPR. Davies has worked in television news, newspapers and radio.
Evan Davies, ad agency exec specializing in ag marketing, graduated from the University of Missouri at Columbia, and he was editor of The Ranger while at San Antonio College. He is now senior partner, VP Group Account Director at The Lacek Group
Jack Dempsey has been a professional photographer since 1991. He worked out of San Antonio, Las Vegas and Denver with the Associated Press. Dempsey covers professional sports as well as breaking news across the country. He has called Denver home since 1998.
Mike Fannin, a former sports editor and editor of The Ranger, has been editor/vice president of The Kansas City Star since 2008 after four-year stints at the San Antonio Light and The Dallas Morning News. Mike proudly includes his time at San Antonio College in his education bio.
Jack Evans is Vice President, Communications and Public Affairs at Weyerhaeuser, one of the world's largest private owners of timberlands. He does include San Antonio College on his education bio. As editor of The Ranger, Evans wrote a weekly column which often appeared on faculty bulletin boards. Funny guy.
Rodolfo Gonzalez, a Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist, has been working for newspapers since 1989. A native of San Antonio, Texas, Gonzalez studied journalism, photography and mass communication at San Antonio College. He has worked at the San Antonio Light, Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Providence Journal-Bulletin and Rocky Mountain News, where he and the photography staff were awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Spot News Photography for coverage of the Columbine High School shooting in Littleton, Colorado. Since the fall of 2000, he has been on staff at the Austin American-Statesman in Austin, Texas.
Johnny Ludden is the NBA editor for Yahoo! Sports. He was sports editor and editor of The Ranger; he covered the Spurs for the San Antonio Express-News before his move to Yahoo! Ludden's photo was taken when he spoke to students at San Antonio College.
Popular sports journalist / commentator Jason Minnix has worked in the San Antonio radio market since 1993, where he has covered the San Antonio Spurs on a regular basis since 1997, as well as every major sporting event in San Antonio and Texas over the last decade. He is host of The Blitz with Dat Nguyen on 1250 ESPN San Antonio. Weekdays 4-7 p.m.
Eric Williams, CEO of Out The Box Productions, parent company of Diaspora Films, attended the University of Detroit majoring in communications and journalism. National Geographic Magazine recognized his exceptional talents in photography through his photo-documentation of the homeless in Hartford, CT. Williams received a staff position making him the first African American photographer to work for the magazine, and his work garnered him the National Geographic College photographer of the Year award in 1987.
